Your Questions About Bmw Dallas

James asks…

Ive been PHISHED..? HACKED..?

Can anyone out there shed some light on the most recent of -all -things -creepy,
Craig’s List scams?
In its infancy,
Craig’s List was the local bulletin board for
Free KITTENS To a Good Home,
Yard Sale Notices,
and 1972 engine-less Volkswagen buses For Sale.

to the local Penny Saver.
It occurs to me that back in the day(s) of people saying
“what is this Craig’s List every body’s talking about”?..
THAT was the time to safely use Craig’s List.

Times have Changed.
Or, the Criminals have.

Over the years, I have used Craig’s List..
having sworn it off,
in its entirety,
I posted an Ad,
or replied to one.

The weeks and weeks of peculiar emails,
and all the other repercussions of having posted a simple ad on Craig’s List was/is NEVER worth it.

You Computer geniuses out there will be able to clarify, I hope.

The Hackers/Phishers/Scam Artists/Thieves and Dregs of Society out there,
who are Hell-bent on planting Virus’ and extracting money from the rest of us are in rare form.

Since posting legitimate ads on Craig’s List a month ago,
I have been inundated with Confirmation emails, appearing to be from the “real” Craig’s List, confirming postings for vehicles across the Country, that I know nothing about.
These ads are for vehicles..listing MY user I.D., MY email address, MY everything.
wouldn’t I be the one who could possibly GAIN from this tricky little scheme?
If I were an unscrupulous person,
couldn’t I just say:
“Why yes, we are still selling that 2004 Z3 BMW..go ahead and send me the $15k..and trot over there to Dallas and pick her up, why dontcha”..?!

Can anyone explain to me what, exactly, is the POINT?

Before I start receiving Smart-Alecky replies,
such as:
“Call Craig’s List”,
“so get rid of your computer”..
(as I have been the recipient of,
on several occasions)..
if you don’t have any, actual, first hand knowledge,
experience, or insight as to this Question/Problem.
(even an intelligent Guesstimate would suffice)

It would be just peachy if you knew of a way to handle it all.
To date, there are approximately 32 vehicles being sold across the Country,
using MY email address.
I have forwarded all to,
pleading for assistance.
I have enlisted the help of techies and the like, but there is no definitive answer, as of yet.
I am in hopes someone within the Yahoo Answers Community will be able to give me
the broad strokes..
and WHENs
of this type of scam..
and WHAT can a victim of it
DO about it.
Im told I don’t have enough “points”
THANK YOU ever so,
“NOC Admin”
You said a MOUTHFUL.
All True,
sad to say.

Youre as

Every bit of it.
Including your KITTEN example.
The people out there who are rescuing puppies and kittens and seeking a “good home” for them, will most likely be pretty decent.

Yahoo email gives the account holder an option of creating a “seal”,
that will validate the sign-in process.
Dont know if its AS effective as it appears to be,
but it makes ME feel safer,
which is SOMETHING.
I mentioned this remedy to a Rep of C.’sL, this afternoon.
She indicated they only have
30 employees,
..seemed very over-worked, under-paid, over-whelmed..
I didnt and dont BLAME her.
It isnt HER company.

I agree with you wholehgeartedly.
Craig’s List has to do SOMETHING about all of this.
They claim to bare no responsibily,
citing they are simply a Bulletin Board.

Craigslist fails to even attempt to moderate the site, claiming freedom issues, when in fact it is the freedom of the normal population that is hindered by craigslist’s practices. Rampant spam and fraud on the site drive down the ability of normal sales or ads to be effective. Distrust and fear are apparent everywhere in the site. People refuse to meet at their home property, instead they insist you meet them at Kmart or Target. That level of distrust signals to me that craigslist is filled with danger for the average user.

Craigslist uses only ‘text capture’ and ‘IP logging’ to moderate its site, it falls into being a host for a whole world of criminal activity. They do this based off the freedom rights to get away with it. They do not care, they only care about protecting themselves since they are on a fine line. Ebay makes users use either a credit card, State ID, craigslist does nothing.

Lack of accountability at craigslist makes it possible for the normal user to be bombarded with spam after placing an advertisement, for users to get flagged out of existence while the flagger posts their own spam messages repeatedly, and for outright criminal acts to be perpetrated with immunity. The “free” nature of craigslist does not need to be surrendered in order to control the site

I can’t help but feel that perhaps Craig is encouraged to NOT keep his site clean because law enforcement enjoys having an easy site to pick off criminals. That’s good for law, but not a good reason for me to use the site. If anything, that’s an excellent argument for staying the h*** away from craigslist.

Easy site for non tech criminal scum to use, they are the worse, no ethics and remorse, These sections above should keep you away… Many sites you can use to auction, with very good security on both ends to ensure nobody will lose money. You will be able to build a reputation having many positive sales.buys which that alone can go a long way.

I have used craigslist one time, looking for a pet, kitten. When you see all the variable outcomes, this is safe and being the demographics of where I lived I used the site for this, anything else should not be done through craigslist since the lack of security, and why police love to catch the non ethical, non tech scum bags and put them in prison.

You report this, they will have to file for a Federal Agency and use a branch that deals with computer crime, can be a very slow catch and for the details of what it is, they may not even take the case. Catching the type of criminal you are referring to is hard. Somebody doing credit fraud, usually done by the scum criminals which get caught all the time, Actual hackers, the bad malicious ones are ones you need to watch out for. Craigslist is just full of scum, I would stay away.

Betty asks…

child support HAHA?

When someone puts in for Child Support, the proper thing to do is to find out who the father is and see why he is not providing support.

The following are all replies that Dallas women have written on Child Support Agency forms in the section for listing father’s details. Or putting it another way… Who yo Daddy! These are genuine excerpts from the forms. Be sure to check out number 11. It takes the prize and ..3 is runner up.

1. Regarding the identity of the father of my twins, child A was fathered by Jim Munson. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of child B, but I believe that he was conceived on the same night.
2. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of my child as I was being sick out of a window when taken unexpectedly from behind. I can provide you with a list of names of men that I think were at the party if this helps.

3. I do not know the name of the father of my little girl. She was conceived at a party at 3600 Grand Avenue where I had unprotected sex with a man I met that night. I do remember that the sex was so good that I fainted. If you do manage to track down the father, can you send me his phone number? Thanks.

4. I don’t know the identity of the father of my daughter. He drives a BMW that now has a hole made by my stiletto in one of the door panels. Perhaps you can contact BMW service stations in this area and see if he’s had it replaced.

5. I have never had sex with a man. I am still a Virginian. I am awaiting a letter from the Pope confirming that my son’s conception was immaculate and that he is Christ risen again.

6. I cannot tell you the name of child A’s dad as he informs me that to do so would blow his cover and that would have cataclysmic implications for the economy. I am torn between doing right by you and right by the country. Please advise.

7. I do not know who the father of my child was as all blacks look the same to me.

8. Peter Smith is the father of child A. If you do catch up with him, can you ask him what he did with my AC/DC CDs? Child B who was also borned at the same time…. well I don’t have a clue.

9. From the dates it seems that my daughter was conceived at Disney World; maybe it really is the Magic Kingdom.

10. So much about that night is a blur. The only thing that I remember for sure is Delia Smith did a program about eggs earlier in the evening. If I’d have stayed in and watched more TV rather than going to the party at 146 Miller Drive, mine might have remained unfertilized.

11. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of my baby. After all when you eat a can of beans you can’t be sure which one made you fart.

Yep, you guessed it right. You are all paying taxes to support these dim wits.

Destroyers: This team is OK. Their #2 & #3 receiver could be better, but they do have the #1 RB and a top teir WR and defense. I give them a B+

Ochocinco: Much of this team is very good. However, Ryan and Davis are not starter caliber players. Nothing terrible… B+ as well.

Big Blue: They got my #3 QB, 3 of my favorite underrated fantasy WR’s, two decent RB, a great TE and an OK kicker. That said, San Diego should not be starting… A-.

IDK: Their name is pretty misleading. They got the #1 QB, a Top 3 RB, and a Top 6 WR in a twelve person league. The rest of their team is nothing special, but nothing bad either… A-.

Yanks: Turner, White, Jennings, and Manning. Not bad. The rest of the team is only OK, but still… A-. Considering how good these teams have been, I know the bad ones are coming.

Titans: Have a suspended #2 RB as well as weak #2 and #3 receivers. The rest of their team is good, but I give them a B. This is a team that dies if Smith or Williams get injured.

Snowmen: Good RBs, weak everywhere else. Get Cassel out of there… B-

Average Joes: Any team with Shockey and Bush relies too much on big names and not enough on big players. Dallas D sucks, and the #2 and 3 receivers aren’t good either. The weakest team thus far… C

Leprechauns: This team looked as if a player made two smart picks and then got high. Who was the 3rd round pick? After Forte and Johnson, this team is terrible… D+

Flip: Horrible receivers, oft-injured RBs and TE, and no elite players. This team sucks… D.

BMW: No great receivers, but no terrible ones either. Decent RBs, Good QBs, #1 Defense. This team is solid… B+

untouchables: I do not like the #2 or #3 WRs, or the RBs for that matter. Not a very good team… C-

The final order from last to first:
12. Flip
11. Leprechans
10. Untouchables
9. Average Joe’s
8. Snowmen
7. Titans
6. Ochocinco
5. BMW
4. Destroyers
3. IDK
2. Yanks
1. Big Blue
