Mary asks…

Want to purchase a super-bike?

I’m planning to purchase a super-bike coming January,2011. Which one should I purchase? Is Honda CBR1000rr a good option or should I consider any other brand. I prefer BMW, Ducati and Honda super-bikes “ONLY”. I don’t wish to purchase super-bike from any other company. My budget won’t exceed Rs.12,50,000/-. I can’t even extend my budget to Rs.13,00,000. I was thinking of Honda CBR1000rr Please help me to select the bike…

Administrator answers:

You sound like a new rider to me. If you have never ridden and want a litre bike, youre asking for an accident. They are not beginner friendly bikes. Start on something smaller… MUCH smaller.

If you are a very experienced rider these bikes are fine….and in my opinion (and definitely in your budget) is the 2010 BMW S1000RR. They are the fastest 1000cc production model in 2010, and very nice bikes. (pic)

Betty asks…

best 1000cc motorcycle this year?

i say it is the SUZUKI GSXR 1000. what is yours and why?

Administrator answers:

It was the BMW S1000RR, hands-down. It outperformed all of the bikes in the head-to-head test with significantly more peak HP and superior stopping power. It has an electronics package previously unheard of in the consumer market.

The only thing the GSX-R did well this year was look stale. It’s the same bike as it has been for the last several years. The need to give it a makeover. I’ve scraped things off my boots that look better.

Carol asks…

what is the best superbike in your opinion? (performance, style, handling etc)?

Administrator answers:

BMW S1000RR. Second place? Ducati, but you couldn’t pay me enough to actually own one.

Sharon asks…

which is the fastest byke of world?

Administrator answers:

Actually the new speed king is the BMW S1000RR.
It passed the Busa as the Fastest production motorcycle.

If you want to know about racing prototype it is the Ducati Desmosedici GP9

the “Top Oil-Ack Attack streamliner” is the experiential fastest motorcycle in the world setting the motorcycle land speed record

Although the hayabusa turbo has clocked 416 kmh , no production motorcycle an cross 300 KMH ; FACT.
So a stock S100RR is faster than a busa

Chris asks…

My motorcycle’s manual says it can do a 1/4 mile in 16.2 seconds. Is that fast?

Like on a scale of one to ten – one being very slow and ten being very fast. (I know it’s not a ten. haha)

If you can, name a motorcycle that’s slightly faster and one that’s slightly slower…or something like that.

Administrator answers:

That’s definitely on the slow side for a motorcycle. Below average even for a cruiser. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 10.

2010 Ducati GT1000: 11.84 @ 112 mph

2010 Triumph Speed Triple: 11.00 @ 125.5 mph
