Your Questions About Bmw S1000rr

August 27, 2013

Michael asks…

I know the BMW s1000rr is not the bike for a first time rider, BUT.?

since the bmw is filled with massive amounts technology, is it possible that i may electronically bring all that power down, So it may be equal to lets say… the ninja 250r? So after I get all my biking experience up, I can electronically move the power up to be equal with the honda cbr600 and after im comfortable with that put it back to normal?
Thank you.
p.s I love the way the s1000rr looks thats why I really want to get it

Administrator answers:

There’s a VERY cheap and easy way to restrict ANY motorbike, and that’s your right hand. If you keep WELL away from the power band then you might be able to handle it, but the insurance will be crazy if you can even get cover, and the slightest mistake will have you sliding down the road.

As for trying to restrict a 180bhp bike to 33bhp, that will make it basically unrideable, you do realise that don’t you?
