## How many stamps would I need to send a small package from Florida to Nevada?

I recently sold a book and I’m using a rectangular box that is 12″x9″**x1**” to mail it out. Really don’t want to pay for shipping because things are really tight in my house and it seems cheaper to ship it out using the bunch of stamps that I bought a long time ago.

You still have to go to the post office. Get the rate from the post master.

witch one i s the best speed to burn the windows 7 in a DVD disk ? and why ?

### Administrator answers:

1x (minimal)

This will help avoid mistakes in writing and will be better read on other drives.

## How do you find the minimal distance to a subspace?

Hello,

I’m really struggling to solve the following problem, would someone please be able to point me in the right direction?

The problem is as such:

Find the smallest distance from the point (1,1,1) ? ?³ to the subspace (**x1**,x2,x3) which satisfies:

**x1** – x2 + x3 = 0

Thanks for any help!

### Administrator answers:

You can use a projection:

let vector v =

let vector u =

[edit] Yahoo answers cut off this line so I will put it in general

comp(u,v) = (u.v)/(u.u)^(1/2)

[/edit]

comp(u,v) = (.)/(.)^(1/2)

Keep in mind you can actually choose any point in the subspace (i.e. (0,1,1) ~since 0 – 1 + 1 = 0)

= (1(1-x1) + 1(1+x2) + 1(1-x3))/(1*1 + 1*1 + 1*1)^(1/2)

= (3 – (x1 – x2 + x3)) / 3^(1/2)

But we know that x1 – x2 + x3 = 0

= 3/sqrt(3) = sqrt(3), which is your minimum distance.

## What is the solution of the system of equqtions?

There is:

**x1**+x2+(c+1)x3 =2

2×1+3×2+cx3 =3

**x1**+cx2+3×3=2

For which c e R is the result with the Cramer rule calculable?

I know, that i must disslove c, but i don’t know the solution.

### Administrator answers:

Solve for the determinant… It is calculable if the determinant is not zero

get the zeros of the determinant…

The possible values of c are all real number except those zeros

## If Newton’s method is applied to the equation ex + x -10 = 0 with the initial guess x1= 0 then, x2 is the c?

If Newton’s method is applied to the equation ex + x -10 = 0 with the initial guess **x1**= 0 then, x2 is the closest to:

1) 5ln4/5

2) 5-5ln5

3) 0

4) 5ln5/4

### Administrator answers:

I’m hoping you mean the equation is : e^x + x – 10 = 0.

Let f(x) = e^x + x – 10

Therefore, f ‘(x) = e^x + 1

x1 = x0 – [e^(x0) + x0 - 10] / [e^(x0) + 1]

= 0 – [e^0 + 0 - 10] / [e^0 + 1]

= 4.5

x2 = x1 – [e^(x1) + x1 - 10] / [e^(x1) + 1]

= 4.5 – [e^(4.5) + 4.5 - 10] / [e^(4.5) + 1]

= 3.57

1) 5ln4/5 = 1.39

2) 5 – 5ln5 = -3.05

3) 0

4) 5ln5/4 = 2.01

Therefore, x2 is closest to 4) 5ln5/4.

## What is the Best possible headset for the Xbox 360 without money being an issue?

I have searched to find the best xbox 360 headset with a microphone. I have heard of the Turtle Beach x4′s and x3′s but i have also heard that they put off an annoying buzz. The Turtle Beach **x1**‘s I don’t think have as good sound quality. So does anyone know which headset overall is the best?

### Administrator answers:

In my opinion i like the xbox wireless headset. You could buy a game for the same price but it is worth it because no wires, looks BA and is easiest for me to talk to everyone on xbox live.
