Sharon asks…

How do you get insurance on your phone?

My Sony Ericsson X10 have had lot of problems and im on a 24months contract with Orange. I have sent my handset to there repair centre and they have told me it cant be fixed because it is out of warranty.
Could I get a phone insurance on my phone even though it is already broken or is that illegal. Also I have been to the shop i bought it and asked them to fix it for me so they know my phone is already broken.

Administrator answers:

You usually get it, either from the place you bought your phone, or from your mobile service provider.

It’s not illegal to buy insurance – as long as you tell them up front that it’s already broken. And they won’t cover what’s already wrong.

James asks…

Good enough for basic use, but I think that it is too thick. Here are the pros and cons so you can judge it yourself.

Typing long messages is very hard on the small screen
No Bluetooth file transfers from the gallery
No Flash support for the web browser
Very basic camera interface

How to download android applications from Android market?

I have bought Sony Xperia X10. Whenever i try to download and install any application through my mobile(Android market), it asks me to enter the account details. After entering the gmail account details, I receive a reply that the account is not associated with the Android phone. Is there any solution for this problem? I need to install many applications but unfortunately not able to do. If any one has solution to this problem then please do help me by providing it.

Administrator answers:

You need to contact the people who made your app store like apples app store you know, you can go on there website and do A live chat and talk to the people to find out how to do it so try to find a way to contact the people who made the app store or google it to find out how to make a account for that phone!

Carol asks…

How do i change polarity in my electrical panel ?

I have an x10 system and some outlets don’t work now.

Administrator answers:

Swap the polarity. This will not burn down your house, if that were true your wiring would catch on fire every other second. Your house is A/C (alternating current) not DC so if you swap polarity you move the point at which the electrical wave occurs. Ive experienced this on timers (ones you plug in to control lamps). I would suggest however if your not experienced in this and are not comfortable re-wiring your panel, call someone who is. Also keep in mind what other electrical items your changes will make. Swapping the polarity on a line that has a fan hooked up to it will cause the fan to rotate the opposite way. Imagine the fume hood on your oven instead of sucking the fumes outside blowing down onto the cook top and flooding the kitchen with smoke.
