Do you mean a 30′x100′x16″ deep pile? Then just multiply 30 X100X 1 1/3 because 16″ = 1 1/3 ft.

Then divide by 27 because 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet

Ammonium hydroxide is an aqueous solution of ammonia in water. It is commercially available in different concentrations.

Lets say we begin with a concentration of 20 % (w/w) (20 g ammonia in 100 g solution). A 0.05 % (w/w) solution means there are 0.05 g = 50 mg of active mass (NH3) in 100 g solution.
Now we have to find out how many grams of a 20 % ammonia solution is needed to make 50 mg of pure NH3. This is obviously 250 mg, because one fifth of it (20 % = 20 from 100 = 1/5) is 50 mg. So we take 250 mg of ammonia solution 20 %. And we take 500 mg of the Triton which is supposed to be a concentrated substance and not a diluted one. The sum is 550 mg = 0,550 g. We add to a total of 100 g with water (100 – 0,550 = 99,450 g water.) Thats it.

I think you may have mis-copied the equation- there’s a “to the power of” sign missing.

( (1.018^10) – 1 ) = 0.1953

To express as a percentage,

0.1953 * 100 = 19.53%
